About Us

The Fire and Earthquake Safety Expo is Sonoma County’s largest in-person emergency preparedness event, with activities in both English and Spanish. It is a unique, hands-on event that has been held since 2021 to help Sonoma County be better prepared for and respond to wildfires and earthquakes.

The first two expos were hosted by Northern Sonoma County CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and Cloverdale Citrus Fair at the Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds, Cloverdale, CA. During the 2022 Expo, residents talked with emergency responders, received hands-on training, watched safety demonstrations, browsed about 75 exhibits, experienced Henry 1 helicopter in action, enjoyed a free breakfast and lunch, and received a free weather radio.

We are excited to host the Expo at the Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds on Sunday, May 19, 2024. We invite you to join us in making this event the largest ever!

Additional Information

These events have always been free to our community thanks to our sponsors, donors, and grant funding. We want to also thank our numerous volunteers who help before and during the events. Without the generous donations of cash, in-kind, and volunteer hours, it would not be possible for us to help Sonoma County be more resilient and ready.
